Tattoo Release date May 24, 2011, from Del Rey
The signs are everywhere. Somatics are vanishing, Ostara is caving in and cracks in the ice threaten to destroy the Sigue. In the midst of a strange heat wave, Sorykah learns that Tirai Industries is running a black-market trade in aphrodisiacal octameroon ink. Red-haired Rava, an opium-addled octameroon, is Sorykah’s only link to a network of ink addicts and covert tattooists. Only Rava knows how to restore balance to the Sigue, if Sorykah can keep her clean long enough to do it.
Sorykah flees the Erun forest city but her male alter, Soryk, is haunted by memories of Sidra and the cryptic messages she sends. An enigmatic man on a martyr's mission lures Sorykah deep into a cruel desert to silence Tirai Industries’ beating heart, and save Rava’s people from extinction.
